ECS – a success story that began in 1982Mr. Ernst Ruch founded the company in 1982. At the beginning, various products were sold, but the company quickly specialized in cleaning cards and found well-known customers and good growth. In 2006, the company was sold to Mr. Beat Wyss, who continued the growth of the company and further developed the strategy. In 2015, Mr. Gunnar Kleinmann joined the company to ensure the continuation of the company.

Our range is of the highest quality, which is valued by our business partners. We develop our own cards for the most special requirements and sell them under our own brand, but also in private label packaging. Our customers include the most well-known customers in this market. ECS AG has done pioneering work in the development of vending machine maintenance. Since the beginning, we have been developing and selling high-quality cleaning cards and products worldwide for all common vending machines that accept credit cards, banknotes and coins. Our high-quality cleaning cards and products are available for the following applications:

Public Transport, Ticketing

We sell our products in over 45 countries, from Australia to America and to every country in Europe. We have our own sales offices in Europe to ensure proximity to our customers.ECS AG employs around 35 people in two plants. We are based on the beautiful Lake Zurich. It is exactly the right location to be able to reach our customers quickly, but also to develop and produce sustainable and high-quality products.The company has a production facility that is completely flexible for both small and large production quantities. We have manual filling machines as well as semi-automatic lines.ECS AG is certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and our complaint rate has been almost zero for decades, which has given us a very good reputation in the market.Over the years we have also acquired some smaller competitors/companies to increase our market share and expand the technology we can offer our customers.In 2016, we acquired the assets of Clean Card Systems in the UK, which gave us a good customer base in the UK as well as the technology to produce nonwoven cleaning cards, which we have integrated into our ECS Cleaning Solutions GmbH facilities.In 2022, we acquired the assets of CPS GmbH in Germany, which gave us a good customer base in the promotional market as well as several machines for producing individually wrapped wipes, cleaning cards and cleaning sprays. We have integrated this business into our ECS Cleaning Solutions GmbH facilities.In 2024, we acquired the assets of Riotex AG in Switzerland, which gave us another good customer base in Switzerland in the individually wrapped wipes market as well as several machines for producing individually wrapped wipes. We integrated this business into our ECS AG facilities.Many providers on the market claim to be manufacturers, but only a few actually are.
